Our story
Our story
After a tragic brutal murder of our beloved compatriot, Innocent Lokola, who was deeply respected and admired by the Congolese community and many others, members of the community came together to form an informal committee to support his family by organising a dignified memorial service, funeral arrangements, and the repatriation of his remains to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, for burial.
The successful planning and execution of these activities demonstrated the strength of unity and love within the Congolese community. Since then we never looked back — with a mission to spread the word that +243: you are not alone.
Our vision is to support those in need in many different aspects of their life by holding hands together. We are a community that has so much talent and knowledge. United we are stronger, united we are one.
